Lenswalker is a free hobby project in an early test phase. These terms describe how you may use the game and the rules for photos and texts you share with others. By registering you agree to them. The German version is the binding one; this is a translation.
1. Operator and scope
Lenswalker is run by Daniel Maksymilian Syrnicki (address in the legal notice). These terms apply to the app at play.lenswalker.online and to this website.
2. The game
Lenswalker is free. There are no purchases and no ads.
The game is in an early test phase (pre-alpha). Features may change, be unavailable at times or be removed. There is no guaranteed availability. We back up the data daily; in rare cases it may still be necessary to correct or reset game progress.
The Oracle's ratings (rarity, element, quality) come from an AI (see privacy policy, section 5). They are part of the game, not a statement about the real value or authenticity of a subject.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old.
One account per person. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what happens through your account.
Your username must not be offensive or suggest that you are someone else or part of the Lenswalker team.
You may pass on invite codes, but not sell them.
4. Stay safe
Lenswalker is played outdoors. Watch the traffic and your surroundings, not the screen. Don't enter private property or closed areas, and obey the law. No subject is worth putting yourself or others at risk. The game never requires you to go to a particular place.
5. Rules for shared content
These rules apply to everything others can see: posts in the Chronicle, comments, your bio, your name and guild chat. Only share photos you took yourself. Not allowed:
nudity and sexual content, in particular anything that sexualizes minors
glorified violence and graphic injuries
hate, incitement, discrimination and extremist symbols
harassment, insults, threats and exposing others
photos in which other people are recognizably the focus without their consent, and other people's IDs, documents, addresses or licence plates
content that infringes the rights of others (for example someone else's photos)
spam, advertising and links to harmful sites
any other illegal content
6. Rights to your content
Your photos and texts remain yours. So that the game works, you grant us a simple, free right to store them, process them for the AI analysis, scale them down and show them inside the game (Grimoire, Chronicle, profile, guild), only as far as you choose: a photo you don't share is visible to you alone. This right ends when you delete the content or your account; backups are overwritten after 14 days at the latest. Outside the game, for example in advertising, we only use your content with your explicit consent.
7. Fair play
Not allowed: location spoofing (fake GPS apps, emulators), bots and scripts, several accounts to gain an advantage, photos from the internet or of screens passed off as your own finds, and exploiting bugs. If you find a bug, please report it through the feedback in the app. We may correct game progress gained by breaking these rules.
8. Reports and moderation
You can report posts, comments and guild chat messages in the app with "Report". Without an account, write to daniel@lenswalker.online with a link to or description of the content and the reason.
We review reports promptly. Content reported by several players is hidden automatically until we have reviewed it. If content breaks these terms we may hide or delete it and suspend accounts temporarily or permanently, taking into account how serious the violation is and whether it happened before. We tell you about the measure and the reason where we can reach you (for a suspension also when you log in). If you think a decision is wrong, write to us and we will review it again. Obviously criminal content, in particular child sexual abuse material, is reported to the authorities.
9. Deleting and suspending accounts
You can have your account deleted at any time by writing to daniel@lenswalker.online. We may suspend or delete accounts for serious or repeated violations. If the game shuts down, we will announce it in advance where possible.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. Otherwise, as Lenswalker is offered free of charge, we are not liable for slight negligence, for example for lost game progress or photos stored only on your device.
11. Changes
We may change these terms, for example when new features arrive. We announce significant changes in the app in advance. If you don't agree, you can have your account deleted.
12. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in remain unaffected. We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
